Women who have had surgery as part of their treatment for breast cancer treatment may choose to have breast reconstruction surgery to rebuild the shape and look of the breast.
Below are some breast reconstruction before and after photos from patients who have put their trust in Dr Aggarwal.

This patient of ours had a breast implant reconstruction performed following breast cancer elsewhere. While the initial result was good, the implants became hard over time. Dr Aggarwal performed a revision of her breast reconstruction using two DIEP flaps from her abdomen. These were transplanted to the chest (and the old breast implants removed). It was even possible to create a position for a future nipple reconstruction – which is common after breast reconstruction.
The patient now has no implants, has a permanent reconstruction that will grow with her, with a reconstruction that is soft much like a native breast.
The scars are still pink, and will fade with time, but it shows the excellent breast shape and size achievable with autologous breast reconstruction.
Thank you to our patient for allowing us to share these wonderful results!
This before and after photo shows that when a beautiful breast reconstruction is performed using one’s own tissue, it can be hard to tell what operation was done! ⠀

This lady had a right breast reconstruction using her own tissue (a DIEP flap), and a left breast reduction to match the right side.
This patient came to Dr Aggarwal after a left mastectomy followed by radiation for breast cancer. She had seen several plastic surgeons prior to seeing Dr Aggarwal – who performed a DIEP flap reconstruction, which involves a transplant of tissue from the abdomen to the chest, using microsurgery.
An area that Dr Aggarwal is passionate about, DIEP flap breast reconstruction can achieve an excellent appearance of both the breast and abdomen especially in clothing, while offering a permanent reconstruction, without the long term downsides of implant reconstruction.
